Habargidir the most influential clan of Somalia.

Before 1991 most of the people did not knew exactlt what this clan was. It was a big clan which was buried. Now it is the most powerfull, most richest, most influential clan in Somalia. It is also media giant and propoganda machine. It is the clan who acted as a government.

Habargidir dwell in the central Somalia a dry land and hashland which is not easy to survive. That region people always live in fear of other clans.
The reasons for tribal conflicts are more but we can mention water shortage, pastoral, revange, and greedy clans who may want to dominate other clans
This region is known producing tough people (dad birta calalsaday). In addtion to that the clan experianced a clash between Somali government and
rebels which effected many innocent people.

Ethiopia’s SSDF and SNM were crashed by the Somali national army. Ethiopia figured out to use Habar gidir and Hawiye as a whole to destroy the Somali government which seated Banadir. Ethiopia created USC and used the unemployed youth of Hawiye specially Habar Gidir. Ethiopia succeeded to uproot Somali government.

In the absent of Somali government illegal ruthless warlords formed in the country specially Mogadisho warlords who hijacked the country for 15 years.
These merciless warlords took Somalia for hostage untill the people get sick of them.

During the destruction of the last Somali government, habar gidir was more ready to seize the moment than other clans. It used the name of hawiye and all other hawiye clans died for them. They immediately looted the Somali millitary bracks and grabed all armored cars. They looted the seat of the government and the national radio.

Ali Mahdi was elected to be the president of Somalia but Habar gidir crashed Abgaal and dominated all Mogadisho except part of Kaaraan and part of Madina. Habar Gidir proved first time that Abgaal can not claim Mogadisho any longer. Habar gidir also crashed the southern daarood and Murursade. Habar gidir also crashed and dominated Bay and Shabeelle Hoose. Lastly Habargidir crashed Xawaadle and dominated Beled weyne.

Somalis surrender to Habar gidir in order to form a goverment and elected Abdilqasim salad overwelmingly but Mogadisho warlords refused why Habar Gidir has a lot to lose if there is a Somali government. This clan dominated shabeelle hoose even part of Kismaayo. This clan clonized hawiye and abused This clan dominated Somali business, politics, media, agriculture, even private houses. Now the new Somali government under Abdilahi Yusuf invited African troops to liberate hawiye from Habargidir and to liberate Somalia from habar gidir and Mogadisho warlords.

Habar gidir knows that so they are doing counter attack. They use religion and manipulate faith community they aslo use patriotism and manipulate pat
riotic community but the quesation is. Can they fool all these people? The answer is No. People know that 15 years lost and any help to liberate people and to build a new government is necessary.

The power balance of habar Gidir has changed. Sacad in no longer lead.

Cayr is the leader of Habar Gidir also Saleebaan is rival to Sacad. Saleeb aan is more confortable to live with other clans now. Saleebaan may join Puntland local authority. Somali felt bad the damaging conflict between Saleebaan and Sacad.

It is the interest of all Somali people including Habar Gidir to have law and order in Somalia. Habar gidir should not affraid revenge and abuse.

NB:

Habar Gidir people are not guilty all of them and there should not be a collective punishment. There are good citizens, good muslims, and good nationalist. If they made a mistake we should not make mistake too. After all Habar gidir are our brothers and sisters. We should solve our problem peacefully.
