This article is a response to the above titled article posted under the name Kayse Qarbosh. Those of you who read the article in question have now another opportunity to enjoy the reading an opposite reply.


Love or hate Habergidir is a branch of Hawiye masses. They are not exclusively living on the arid land of Mudug and Galgudud but they live and grass from Mudug to the border of Kenya. They dwell in Ethiopia and Kenya. During civilian governments, the Habergidir parliament members were elected from Mudug, Beletweyn, Mogadishu and Marka. They contributed heavily the liberation of Somalia dearly. They were the first founding members of the SYL. Some of these members are still alive and actively and politically conscious especially this ominous time, when most Somalis either are with the enemy or lost all hopes. Most Somalis appreciate that, Habergidir provided Somalia its first and foremost prime minister. Successive governments of Somalia relied on Habergidir militarily, commercially and intellectually. Habergidir were the linchpin of the Somali nation. No Somali government stood without the highlights of Habergidir ministerial posts. That is why Habergidir has both friends and foes.
It is true that Habergidir were not actively strident and striving in seeking power and wealthy as Abdullahi Yusuf’s supporters. The weakness of Habergidir is: they do not prepare their offspring for the future political leadership, but they are the masses of production, the protectors of the nation and the haters of foreign enemy or seeking alliance with our nation’s enemy. As the majority Hawiye do, Habergidir believed before today to live on their land, shepherding their animal husbandry and their fair of share of their nation, while some other tribes have been seeking power by all means including: making our country to become hostage for foreign and enemy forces, specially Abdullahi Yusuf supporters and political ideologues, who presently cry for foreign occupation as their protectors and sharers with our country’s spoils.
Historically, Habergidir always have strived the stability and territorial integrity of our country. From day one of our country’s independence till 1969, our country’s presumed independence, freedom and democracy was robbed by people like Abdullahi Yusuf’s supporters and political ideologues. Habergidir ignored and disdained such actions as they did not see as a danger to our country’s future and survival. However, the obvious danger to our country came in 1969, even though the shape and the socio-political and economic structure were not better than a public limited company. Somalia’s affairs were run by former colony of Italy and its anointed Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan. They benefited heavily, misused its solemn bureaucracy. They had amassed a mass of fortunes, educated their children unjustly. They engaged a wealth creation, political position, education opportunities, outside contacts, and behave irresponsibly and treated the nation and its asset as theirs. Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan sustained their power by all means, they sought support from Somalia enemy and they believed that, they must remained gainers rather than givers or contributors.

The dying days of 1969, Abdullahi Yusuf’s fellow clan’s president was assassinated (Abdi-Rashid). He was seen as a moderate, whose mother was Hawiye and Hawiye voted him and for change. But Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan could not afford this or accept. The diseased president wanted reform and change the shameless character and defiling greediness of his fellow tribes men. He believed soon or later the masses will rise and will sweep away them unless they hide their injustice behavior, and passion for material wealth and self-grandiose and haughtiness. But they killed him, as they could not see what he could foresee. As soon as they realized the head of state was cut short and for his life and his presidency, they organized to substitute him with someone who could carry their banner of Masonic brotherhood and self-grandiose and exclusively state ownership. They even rejected to allow the constitution to take its course and the national speaker to step in and nominated as a temporary head of state until election is organized. But justice was on the side of oppressed and the mixture of national army was stepped in and rescued the country from another misery and self owned family design.

Mohamed Siad Barre had become the new head of state. He suffered under Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan’s mistreatment. Even though he was the head of the army, his first wife was forced to sweep the state house in order to subsidize the meager family ration. He also escaped from house arrest and the exile to the Soviet gulag, because Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan wanted to own everything that Somalia stood for. . Everyone knows how his opposite lived- the clan Police Commissioner, Mohamed Abshir Habaan compared former head of state, Mohamed Siad Barre. I’m not going into details unless it became necessary. Thanks to God and our brave national army. Before the army step in, the clan was planning to make the Somalia’s national language as a language named after a clan War-world. Our army was as brilliant and thoughtful as they thrown away the trash of their false and despicable ideas.

But the election of Abdullahi Yusuf by Ethiopia and the assumption that both Ethiopia and Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan will occupy and subjugate the Hawiye majority have excited many Abdullahi Yusuf’s supporters. Short advice is that, stay calm and fallow the political arithmetic’s. Do not excite too early, the political game is not what you see but is what to come later. You have excited before and disappointment has followed. The Death of General Adiid and the intervention of the UNISOM you have celebrated and excited wildly. Do not take as a face value the cosmetic disunity of Hawiye and the misinformation of Abdullahi Yusuf’. As enemy gather pace, Hawiye will unite Inshaa Allah, and face the challenges. The struggle will be long and hard. Those who have a strong believe and trust in God and themselves will prevail. This will lead to the unification of Hawiye at last and create a credible and formidable force that sees inch by inch the greediness and haughtiness of Abdullahi Yusuf’s supporters’ minority and its naked shape and form. People who still live on in the past: are Barri Barri, Ashari and Abdullahi Yusuf.

To enlighten you what Abdullahi Yusuf and his minions are missing: it has been said that, every supporter of Abdullahi Yusuf supporters want to live on the state subsidy while the rest of Somalis want to live their righteous hard work and righteous earning. Every Abdullahi Yusuf’s supporter want to be showed off, to pretend as an educated, intelligent, enlightened and worldly advanced person. While the rest of the Somalis, hardly trust them, suspicious about their words, their promise, their knowledge, and their claims and boastful. In the past, they use to claim that, they were the majority of Somalia but now they have been discovered they are neither majority, but minority. They are neither intelligent nor bravest than the rest of Somalis. However, they have one qualification that the rest of the Somalis do not have it, which is espionage, servile to the foreign enemy of Somalia. They exchange their faith, integrity and pride for the semblance of power and the companionship of foreign enemies. Ayan Hirsi Magan is Abdullahi Yusuf’s epitomes: anti-Somali, anti-Islam. Omer Jamal, who has a criminal pending in the U.S courts for fraudulent, has been recently lobbing in the U.S for the support of Abdullahi Yusuf’s ambition, because Omer Jamal thinks if he expelled from the U.S, he wants to get a shelter or political position from Abdullahi Yusuf. This is the nature of many recent publicists who has been campaigning on behalf of Abdullahi Yusuf.

Too late, your trademarks have been discovered and, if you need more enlightenment about the credential of Abdullah Yusuf’s clan and their love of foreign enemies, read the past history and follow the present sequences of Abdullah Yusuf and his supporter’s political dreams and ambitions without hesitating rightly or wrongly. Please read the colonial English officer’s book in 1945 –entitled “TEARS FOR SOMALIA” when he was posted in Bosaaso as colonial officer. This is how Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan appreciated to see a colonial officer in their soil. The book was banned from its readerships in Somalia by none other than, late President, Mohamed Siad Barre, but Abdullahi Yusuf and like minded did not appreciate it, because he was a president of different who did not heal from Abdullahi Yusuf’s clan.

At last now, now they claim a sigh of relief because as they believe, the Somalia’s historical enemy comes to their rescue. By electing Abdullahi Yusuf, seems the first hurdle of what they assume as the return of their parasite manner. However, that is not the case. Struggle is long and hard.

The constant attack on Habergidir by Abdullahi Yusuf’s supporters is a mere jittery and concealments of your past and present endless crimes. Your assumption is that, Habergidir is watching every move of your treachery and national treason. Do not worry Habergidir have achieved its stated initial aims: which have been to awaken the Somali victims to stand up their own rights and justice. The action of Habergidir in 1990 was not aimed no one except the Abdullahi Yusuf and his fellow ideologues. If the aims of your article was to create a tension between Mareehan and Habergidir, that is none starter and you have failed utterly. No more misunderstanding between Habergidir and Mareehan who are Darood nobles according Sayid Mohamed Abdulle Hassan. And if anything happen before, now Habergidir and Mareehan are brothers/sisters in arms. The case of Habirgidir, they are human and make mistakes. They live on their ancestral land and not Abdullahi Yusuf’s hometown.

Habergidir have more rights to live in Kismayo than the person who born in Hafun and Eyl. If Habergidir acquired an appropriate gains due to lack of law and order, my advice is to return it as a duty to every other clans and they should seek atonement. If there were wars between Habergidir and their fellow other Somalis, so what, there were wars between alls sects of Somalis. Wars within Majeerteen, wars with in Mareeteen, wars within Ogadeen and war within Habergidir and wars within Abgal and wars within every other Somali clans.

However, if your intention is to create a new suspicion between brothers and sisters, that is yours and your clans trademark, habit and profession. Sorry to say it is too late and everyone knows the meaning of the game. Your only intention is to make a war criminal-Your uncle Abdullahi Yusuf as a hero, a savior and innocent. Too late, if it was not the crime of Abdullahi Yusuf and his subsidizers of Ethiopia Somalia will be a better shape today.

As you rightly illustrated Habergidir is the only a major force that is opposing the re-colonized Somalia by the collision of Ethiopia and its proxy Abdullahi Yusuf. Habergidir are not hiding behind Ethiopia, they are in an open plateau, they are defending the motherland and with their tongue, blood and wealth. If they use the banner of Islam, we are only counting what they are saying in public, and what is their hearts is the judgment of their maker. We are not in the business of what they are concealing. But we accept their good intention and utterance as a face value, and that is what we can do as a human being.

On the other hand, Abdullahi Yusuf and his supporters have nowhere to hide. They have already stated and been exposed what is their intention, and what is in their lips and heart. They are with foreign occupiers and anti Islam. But love or hate, Habergidir is here to stay in defense for our beloved country.

But in the final analysis, I humbly ask our creator to forgive us and guide us to the right path. To cleanse from our hearts the love of all enemies and being espionage to our historical enemies and beyond. God may show us the right path that lead to forgiveness and love for each other instead of skirmishing on daily basis.
